Kind, calm and patient. Listened to my issues, and offered appropriate advice. Helped me to remain relaxed, and comfortable throughout my procedure.

Kathryn has operated on me 3 times , my latest surgery was complex due to having mesh in 2013 for a prolapsed bowel by another surgeon , after many complications caused by the mesh , Kathryn performed a permanent stoma procedure , along with other procedures to take the mesh out and to do repairs internally caused by mesh erosion. All of which were successful, she has given me my life back as I was barely able to go/do anything due to becoming more or less incontinent for the last 2 years . I will be forever grateful for this and the fact that she had to fight the nhs trust to let her operate on me at all , as the operation was deemed unsafe and may of caused me more harm than good. I am a 57 year old woman.

Kathryn provided an excellent service of care and took time to ensure i received the best treatment. Her explanations and manner with me were very friendly and patient which put me at ease and helped me understand the treatment. I’m very happy with the treatment and will recommend her to my friends . Great outcome, really helped me out .

I have worked very hard with a consultant to get my EF up to 54 / 55 - from a dire state. From being told I would never run again - to running half marathon times of 1.32. Cycling over 70 miles in a day. I understand why on my form - it is written: Heart block - dual chamber PPM. But, I would have liked to explain - but I undersatnd that all staff on the day of my colonoscopy were very busy. Also understand why it is written: ASA II. But there is a reason why I had atrial flutter - and also why I arrested on the operating table. Would have liked to talk about my sedation. But leaving this apart - due to business / pressure of the staff. The whole team were great. Exceptionally thorough. Katryn - commented in the procedure comments - robustly - and this brought me joy. The teamwork was excellent. And I was certainly left a clear message by this doctor.

She treated me previously when she removed two large polyps which were potentially cancerous. She's kind, funny, and very gentle. The procedure yesterday (22 November) was difficult at times but although of course uncomfortable there was no pain, and today I'm fully back to normal. I relayed a complaint I'd had the first time I had a colonoscopy (which was NOT against her) when, having been given a possible 50/50 diagnosis of cancer and in a state of shock, I was approached by a Macmillan nurse who "wanted a chat", which I felt was totally inappropriate. She listened to me and was sympathetic to the distress I would have greeted it with. It proved not to be cancer in the end. If I had to have another procedure in the future I would hope she would be the doctor who treated me.
